Prof. Vivek Joshi is a highly respected member of the faculty at RNGPIT’s Information Technology Department, with over 13 years of experience in academia and administration. With a Master’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering from VTU, Karnataka, and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from the University of Pune, Prof. Vivek has been recognized for outstanding academic performance, earning a prestigious Gold Medal during his Master’s graduation. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence at Gujarat Technological University, and their research focuses on developing non-invasive solutions for cancer detection using Deep Learning techniques. Dr. Vivek’s expertise encompasses a wide range of areas, including Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning. Prof. Vivek is not only involved in research but also plays a crucial role as the Coordinator for the Student Startup and Innovation Policy Cell, Government of Gujarat. In this capacity, he provides invaluable mentorship and guidance to students, assisting them in navigating the complexities of the Proof of Concepts, Prototypes, Intellectual Property Rights, and Startup ventures. Prof. Vivek has a wealth of practical experience, having filed and granted over ten industrial designs and patents, including an international patent, which underscores his commitment to fostering an environment of creativity and entrepreneurship within the academic community. Through his leadership, mentorship, and research efforts, Vivek continues to make significant contributions to both academia and industry, inspiring the next generation of innovators and thought leaders.
