Promoted by Textile Machinery Manufacturers Association (TMMA) and Surat Engineering Vikas Association (SEVA) with support from Department of Heavy Industries (Govt. of India) under ‘Make in India’ campaign and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Education Society a ‘Common Engineering Facility Center (CEFC/CFC)’ Surat is envisaged to uplift the engineering infrastructure, to enhance the skills of man power and to augment the employment generation in Gujarat region.
The ‘CFC Surat’ is state of the art
project under ‘Public Private Partnership’ of Industry with Government
of India (GOI), under 40:60 funding with an overall cost of Rs. 50.0
crores. More than 1200 companies including yours in the South Gujarat
regions will get benefit directly or indirectly from this Project.
- To provide technical assistance to the existing Textile Machinery and Component Manufacturing Industry bu setting up of a CFC for design, prototyping, repair and testing of machinery and spares in Surat. In addition to the Textile Machinery Industry , the CFC will also offer its services to the other Light Engineering sectors requiring same facilities.
- The project will include a Training Center for imparting skill development courses and developing skilled man power for the industry. The CFC is being proposed under the “Scheme for Enhancement of Competitiveness of Capital Goods Sector ” for Department of Heavy Industry (DHI), Government of India (GOI).
Mechanical Engineering department of RNGPIT has organized 3 weeks summer intership training program of CNC Lathe Machine and Vertical Milling Center in association with SETU Foundation. Students in large numbers have enrolled in the training program and benefited hands on training practice on HURCO Machine (Vertical Milling Center) by the expert Mr. Arockiadoss J, Senior application Engineer of HURCO India (Coimbatore).
