RNGPIT is committed to impart excellence in technical education both theoretically and practically. As a part of this process, the institute has recruited well qualified and experienced faculties as well as developed state of the art laboratories. The institute is having 12 Ph.D. faculties and 16 faculties are pursuing their Doctoral research work in various field of engineering.

The institute has received Mahavir Synthesis Award for Outstanding Institute/College of Education by The South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Association, Surat during Golden Jubilee Memorial Trust Award 2018-19.

The institute has also implemented 5S techniques and achieved "5S - Work Place Management System" certification recently in June,2021, becoming the 2nd Institute in India holding 5S certification by Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI), Secunderabad.

To promote and recognize excellence in technical education, Chemical and Mechanical engineering departments have applied for Accreditation under National Board of Accreditation, Delhi in the month of May,2021.

CEFC-Common Engineering Facility Centre worth 50 crore is also under construction at the very campus of RNGPIT. CEFC is a joint venture between RNGPIT, Textile Machinery Manufacturing Association (TMMA)-Mumbai, Department of Heavy industries - Government of India and Surat Engineering Vikas Association (SEVA)-Surat. CEFC will be equipped with various cutting-edge machineries along with five major departments i.e., Design Centre, Prototype Development Centre, Training Centre & Testing and Calibration Laboratory to support the country’s textile, diamond and automobile industries.

Chemical Engineering Department has been recognized as Schedule-I Environmental Auditor by Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB), Gandhinagar and carried out Environmental Audit Work of more than 45 various chemical industries. Mechanical engineering department has signed MOU with Dassault System, France for establishment of authorised training centre for Solid Works software for Mechanical Engineering students. The department also imparts specialised hands-on training on NDT level-II, CNC programme, Solar PV Installer and Wind Energy in collaboration with industries.

The institute remains in top 10 positions at the university level. Recently the institute achieved 100% result with total 46 students secured 10 out of 10 SPI and 283 students secured 9 out of 10 SPI for 8th semester summer 2021 exam. We take pride to inform that more than 64 students selected through campus drive from batch 2021 in various industries.

Beside academics, students are also encouraged to take part in extra curricular and co-curricular activities and the students have brought laurels to the institution.
